Saturdays bring fun and new messes!

Ok the day started early, but thats ok. The triplets wake up about 7 or so, and we are generally down stairs about 8am. This morning we were in the SUV and headed to the post office and to run errands with Nannie Net at 8:30. It was nice getting the trio out for a morning ride. Jacob stayed behind with his PawPaw and MeMe. Since we were already out, I just decided we would spend a few hours destroying Nannie Net's house. Heheh. Boy, can they make a mess anywhere they go! Mass destruction at its finest.

The day wore on as usual, nap time came and went. We were actually able to get outside and play today in the little pool. Jacob and me had some fun in the big pool too! I cooked the boys a pork loin for dinner, and they LOVED it. Jacob got to go out for dinner with his MeMe and PawPaw. Lucky.

I fed the boys dinner, and if you have never been to our house at dinner time... well its complete HAVOC! Im talking, about food being thrown, spoons going this way... plates going that way, the poor floor doesn't stand a chance. Think im embellishing a bit? Take a look at some "in the cleaning of the mess" pics I took.

As for the trio after dinner... I'd rather hose em' down, but thats really inhumane. Hahah. They love a bath, but HATE clothes, and LOATHE getting changed... I snapped a few pics of this scenerio also.

So as you can tell, our days here at the "Haisten Plantation" are filled with all kinds of adventure. At least there is NEVER a dull moment. I just close my eyes, take a deep breath in and say to myself... Yes, this is my life, and thank you God for it!

Sweet Sweet "Children of Mine"

So the past few days have been relatively normal. My mom has had to work so my grandmother has been here helping with the boys. This always adds a little stress on my end, but the boys adore her, and even Jacob went to stay with his "Nannie Peg" for a few nights.
I was able to get a few really good pics of the boys this week. They were actually sweet to one another for the most part the past couple of days. Its funny how Nick and Noah like to play with one another, but poor Nathan sometimes gets left out. He is also the one that wears the battle wounds of the brotherly quarrels(bite marks).

They have some real seperation anxiety; not only have I noticed it when I leave them at Sunday school, but when my grandmother, or me leaves the room...especially when my other grandmother leaves. Whoo talk about screaming! I am not real sure how to break them of this. You would think since there is three of they would never get lonely, but I guess they are just as attached to us, as we are to them.

Jacob has been, well, Jacob lately. Hahah. He has been full of energy, spirit, and passion. He is actually awake now lying next to me while I blog.

This morning, he had some kind of fit where he wanted me to take him to high school! I have no idea what that was about! All day long he kept saying "Please take me to school Momma, please!" it was never ending, but again, he is only 3. I think he must of had some kind of dream where he was at school, he has very lucid dreams... alot like his momma! So finally, we all got him to believe that he was gonna go to vacation bible school soon... this helped. A little. Oh what a day!

So the day neared an end, diapers ran short, nerves ran frazzled, and patience wore thin. Finally I was able to get dinner done, the diaper supply was replenished, and everything slowly calmed down as the day turned into night.

So all thats left to this day is one sleepy little boy named Jacob waiting for his mommy to snuggle with him... so I must get cuddling! Goodnight and sweet dreams all!

Our shopping trip and the rainy day

Didn't get to blog last night, so I am making up for two days tonight!

Yesterday was a super fun day! My Grandmother, my Aunt, and her 15 year old twin girls Melanie and Kim, plus me and my boys all went shopping! Now, you have to know that the nearest mall from our hometown is a good hour of more away from here. So it was an all day adventure for us... A two vehicle safari into another city with 4 kids, 2 teens, and 3 adult women! Wow! It was cool though, it was fun, and it was the triplets first time ever to the mall! I of course was able to snap a few pictures! How could I resist?

They were on their best behavior... until we went to dinner... Thats when the food throwing began(triplets only). Somehow, someway I have to break them of that. It was awful!

Jacob got cranky and whiny towards the end of the day... but then again he is 3... no one is to blame but the adults. Poor little guys were worn slap out by the end of the day!

The kids got a new stuffed toy from the Disney Store. Then when we went to Kohls they got a couple of new outfits. I even got a new dress for church! What a good day!

Tuesday 5/27/08

Well I can't say much for today, it rained, we couldn't go outside, the triplets were fussy, and Jacob was ever so inquisitive about EVERYTHING! All in all it was not a bad day, but it was just one of those days! hahaha.

So now the triplets are in bed... Jacob is still going strong, and I am lying here writing this and answering all his little questions!

The rain is still coming down at least, and I can hear distant thunder. I love that! Maybe all this rain will bring a sunny day for the me and the boys tomorrow! Well, I better get this little Jumping bean in the bed! Goodnight!

The Sunday BBQ

Memorial day weekend. Swimming. BBQ's. Staying outside late in the evening until the sun goes down. Mosquito bites. Homemade ice cream. Umm summer is here!

The boys and us had a pretty eventful day today, we woke up early(thats everyday though!) and went to Sunday school, and church, came home and had lunch, had our naps, and then played played played!!! Well, we also cooked out today with family in reverence for Memorial day. It was a GREAT day! The boys had a blast!

We grilled out everything but the kitchen sink today! We had ribs, chicken, corn on the cob, and hotdogs... not to mention all the trimmings to go with it. Poor Jacob couldn't even wait for the food to get off the grill before he had to have a weenie!

After dinner we just hung out in the yard with the kids. The triplets got treated like royalty as we carted them all over the yard in their wagon. Jacob got to get in the "big" pool today with Aunt Jan and he had a blast! He rode in his little inflatible boat and took in a swimming lesson from his favorite great Aunt. He is getting so growny and big!

So while Jacob was busy in the pool with Aunt Jan, my mother, and me had the triplets out playing in the yard. I can't tell ya how fast they are! They are the most curious kids I have ever known! There is nothing they will not get into! They will make you laugh though! Jacob has a little John Deer power wheel truck, and they had a ball just sitting in it! Nathan is so strong he even pushed his brothers around the yard! Man, for three 20 month olds, they sure can wear ya out! All worth it though!

So our Sunday BBQ was fun and entertaining- but it always is when ya have four little ones around ya! I can't wait to see what tomorrow holds for us! There's no telling what the big brother and the infamous trio will be up to in the future! It's always a party here!

The busy fun filled Saturday

Well today started off like most others, it was pretty laid back. Me and the trio had the house to ourselves this morning... big brother Jacob was at my grandmothers next door. I feel guilty him being there so much, but me and my mother had a talk, and she said I was exactly the same way when I was his age; always staying right under my Nannie's wing and not far from her sight. After all his great grandmother won't be here forever. He is her little buddy.

We didn't venture out today, instead my parents returned home with a little pool for the boys. It was great! My dad set it up for them while they were napping, and when they got up we went outside and played in it. Nathan was scared at first, but then got a little better. Nick and Noah LOVED it! They got right in and started playing with all the blow up toys in it. Jacob was extremely excited about it, in fact it was hard to pry him away from it! Ah, tomorrow we will play again in the tiny aquatic wonder!

So, after our splash time, we went in for our usual dinner, and then we enjoyed the back porch for a little while before the boys had their baths. Jacob even helped Meme with the watering of the plants. He was so cute with the watering bucket. He was giving them a "drink" as he called it.

So after everyone was fed, bathed, and put to bed, I had to venture to WAL-MART. Being Memorial Day weekend, we decided to cookout tomorrow evening. We needed a few odds and ends: some ribs, chicken, wieners, MILK, hahah. Oh yeah, the kids got some water shoes so they can walk from pool to yard without hurting their precious tiny feet. Oh, and we needed new sippy cups. All in all, I only spent about, 300 bucks. Whew. It adds up huh? Oh well, its all for them.

So it was a good day, but then again, how can I possibly have a bad day unless one of my children are having a bad day? The faces of our young decript so much: happiness, love, forgivness, understanding, and innocence. So how can you have a bad day with all that surrounding you?
